Information about Quinlow’s Stencils to the Engraving Trade 

There are many different types of stencils available for glass engraving on the market, but Quinlow’s stencils are not only different, but stand apart from all the others as can be seen by the finished engraving.
		The stencils can manoeuvre around the glass, and the glass doesn’t have to be straight without any curves. For example, brandy glasses have been problematic for a lot of people because of the curvature of the glass, but with Quinlow’s stencils as seen on the photo. The stencils are easily put onto the brandy glass, just like any other wineglass or champagne flute.  We at Quinlow do not believe in using self-adhesive glue to stick the stencil onto the glass, or any type of glue that would stick a stencil onto glass as soon as the stencil is in contact with the glass.
We understand that it is important to be able to move the stencil easily around on the surface of the glass. Manoeuvring the stencil and positioning it on a plaque, or making that final adjustment on a wineglass, or a trophy, to a point where one is 100% satisfied. This requires a stencil with a certain flexibility, which all the different grades of Quinlow stencils have  The fine and intricate details that Quinlow’s stencils can bring out are truly remarkable.
As well as being very easy to put our stencils onto all types of glasses, it is also effortless and quick to position it to wherever you want it on the glass.
		Our unique stencil technology gives us the capabilitiy of engraving very fine text and fine lines that most other engravers could not. The image to the left shows a recent engraving produced for a customer the very small text under the logos at the bottom is only an incredible 0.5mm in height (2.5pt) and as you can see it is still very clear.
